Two Spanish Truck Parking Facilities Named Best in Europe

Truck parking facilities mowiz TRUCK Porta de Barcelona and mowiz TRUCK Astigarraga have been awarded European accolades recognising their excellence in security, service quality, and commitment to sustainability.

Porta de Barcelona has been distinguished as the best small secure truck parking in Europe, while Astigarraga has received the Green Truck Parking Award, establishing itself as the most sustainable truck parking on the continent. Additionally, Astigarraga was recognised in 2023 as the best European truck parking.

These awards have been granted by ESPORG, the European organisation for secure truck parking areas, whose international jury highlighted the quality of the applications received and the sector's evolution in terms of innovation, driver care, and adaptation to new transport challenges.

Located in a strategic area, mowiz TRUCK Porta de Barcelona offers 50 parking spaces with the highest security standards, including 24/7 video surveillance, access control, and a fully fenced perimeter. Its commitment to digitalisation allows drivers to manage their stay via a mobile app that facilitates booking and payment through multiple professional payment methods.

The parking facility features spacious rest areas with free Wi-Fi, entertainment zones, laundry services, showers, and dining options tailored to the needs of transporters, including a special menu at affordable prices. Mowiz TRUCK Astigarraga, with 341 spaces, has been recognised for its environmental management and sustainability initiatives. Located on the border between Spain and France, this parking facility implements technologies to reduce its environmental impact, including the use of solar energy, aerothermal systems, green roofs, thermal storage batteries, and water reuse systems.

The parking is designed to ensure the comfort of transporters, with climate-controlled rest areas, a wide gastronomic offer, recreation spaces with video game consoles and barbecues, and 24/7 assistance in 12 languages. Additionally, mowiz TRUCK Astigarraga is a Violet Point, reinforcing its commitment to the safety and well-being of women in the transport sector.
