The Royal Spanish Automobile Federation, in collaboration with the García Peralta and Horta Sud foundations, is spearheading the "Solidarity on Wheels" project. The primary aim is to provide direct assistance to those affected by the DANA disaster, facilitating the swift restoration of their mobility through the prompt delivery of light vehicles, enabling them to resume their daily commutes in the vicinity of the tragedy as soon as possible.

"Solidarity on Wheels" is founded on two key actions: raising financial resources through donations to the García Peralta Foundation, with contributions from individuals and the support of numerous automotive sector companies, to purchase as many motorcycles as possible. Additionally, there is the direct donation of various light vehicles, including cars, motorcycles, bicycles, and scooters, to be distributed to the victims via the Horta Sud Foundation.

The charitable initiative has had an outstanding start. Currently, and with minimal public exposure, over one million euros have been raised from more than a hundred donors, facilitating the imminent donation of over a hundred vehicles.

Moreover, the deliveries, supported by companies from the respective sectors, will include vehicles insured for a three-month period, with all relevant taxes paid and helmets provided for users.

The initiative is backed by prominent figures from the sports and business worlds, including Fernando Alonso, Carlos Sainz Sr., Carlos Sainz Jr., Pedro Martínez de la Rosa, Jorge Martínez Aspar, Alex Palou, Marc Gené, Nani Roma, Dani Sordo, Fabio Quartararo, Nerea Martí, and Roberto Merhi, among many others who have joined to promote this charitable cause.

In the words of the president of the Royal Spanish Automobile Federation, Manuel Aviñó: "At RFEDA, we want to contribute our bit to the swiftest possible return to normalcy in the geographical area affected by the DANA tragedy. Moreover, we are focusing on an aspect close to our hearts: mobility. I can only express my gratitude to all our project partners, especially Joaquín Durán, for their contribution to 'Solidarity on Wheels,' which is currently our main focus."

Entities such as the FIA, the Circuit de la Comunitat Valenciana, RACE, and RACC, along with numerous companies from various sectors, have joined this initiative. Details of the project are available on the website solidaridadsobreruedas.com, where one can make financial or vehicle donations, as well as request a vehicle if needed.
