Spain's Valencian Community Winter Beach Volleyball Circuit's third event will take place this weekend at the courts of Sant Joan d'Alacant's Sports Centre. The men's competition is scheduled for Saturday, 25th, while the women's will occur on Sunday, 26th.

This marks the third consecutive year that the Winter Circuit visits Sant Joan d'Alacant. This edition features Spanish national team pairs like Elba Paez and Daniela Andreu, as well as Álvaro Viera and Antonio Saucedo, alongside Lithuanian duo Karaliute-Kliokmanaite and local favourites Moreno-Sanfélix, who are regulars in international competitions.

The event was presented at the Sant Joan d'Alacant Town Hall with the attendance of Mayor Santi Román, FVBCV President Arturo Ruiz, Technical Director Nuria Pla, and CV Sant Joan President Leticia González-De Haro.

The Valencian Community Winter Beach Volleyball Circuit consists of six events, all of which contribute to the national ranking and offer cash prizes. The Circuit kicked off last November in El Campello and will conclude on March 30th at San Juan Beach in Alicante.

"This Sant Joan event is the only one not held on the beach in the entire Circuit, and we can proudly say that the courts, inaugurated three years ago, serve the whole municipality and host top-level events like this. Just look at the participating pairs, some of whom are from the Spanish national team," stated Mayor Santi Román.

Matches will take place from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on both Saturday and Sunday, with stands set up for spectators. Additionally, gifts will be distributed to attendees while supplies last.

"With only two courts available, the competition is even more demanding. Many pairs remain on the waiting list for both genders, which ensures a high level of play in Sant Joan," confirmed Nuria Pla.

Meanwhile, Leticia González-De Haro emphasised the mobilisation of the entire CV Sant Joan base to create an atmosphere for the events, which have generated significant excitement in the municipality.
