The sixth campaign of the Alicante Commerce Voucher has once again been an absolute success in its in-person sales for those over 65 years old. In three days, the first vouchers were sold out, totaling 18,183 senior vouchers that have circulated nearly 600,000 euros among the 700 participating commercial establishments in this edition. After this first phase, the remaining Commerce Vouchers will go on sale this Thursday, totaling 2,548,242 euros on the website www.bonocomercioalicante.es.
For five days, adults registered in the municipality of Alicante can purchase the vouchers. They are expected to be sold in two phases: starting at 8:30 AM and at 4 PM each day until the daily budget of 509,648 euros is exhausted, with each time slot being 254,824 euros.
The main novelty this year has been the maximum sale amount set at 400 euros, a measure that has increased the number of people who can access the voucher. The deadline to spend the vouchers is October 27, and no refunds will be given for unused vouchers during the program's validity period, nor for the difference between the purchase price and the voucher value.

There are already more than 700 establishments and commercial premises in Alicante where citizens can spend and redeem their vouchers of 20, 50, 100 or 200 euros—the highest number of businesses in six editions. Among the establishments participating in the Commerce Voucher are food stores, clothing stores, optical and hearing centers, shoe stores, hairdressers, drugstores, aesthetic centers, jewelry stores, copy shops, appliance and decoration stores, pharmacies, computer stores, hardware stores, toy stores, haberdasheries, florists, bakeries, pet shops, furniture stores, computer stores, among many others. Each voucher is redeemable in a single purchase, and more than one voucher can be used in the same purchase.
The Councilor for Commerce, Markets and Hospitality, Lidia López highlighted that "the vouchers continue to have an excellent reception; they are a sales success and we have reached many more elderly people than in previous editions. With them we manage to inject three million euros into local businesses in one month and revitalize them during a period when there are not many sales before the Black Friday and Christmas campaigns."
The campaign has a total voucher amount of 3,148,242 euros; it started on September 23 and ends on October 27, 2024. It is promoted by the Alicante City Council through the Department of Commerce, Markets and Hospitality; managed by the Chamber of Commerce; and financed by the Provincial Council of Alicante.
