The fourth generation of the Skoda Octavia arrived on the market in 2020, and by the end of last year, it received an update introducing design changes, equipment upgrades, and a revised engine range.

Spacious, practical, and with a boot capacity of at least 600 litres, the Skoda Octavia stands as a strong alternative to the ever-popular SUVs, especially with the estate body style, or Combi as the brand calls it. Available with petrol and diesel engines ranging from 116 HP to 265 HP, the Octavia also offers 4x4 versions and automatic transmission.

For this test, we had two 150 HP units. On one hand, the five-door Skoda Octavia with the 1.5 eTSI engine and ECO label thanks to a mild hybrid system. On the other, the Skoda Octavia Combi with the 2.0 TDI engine and C label from the DGT.

In the video, we analyse the acceleration and fuel consumption of each, and examine the differences between the five-door and estate body styles.
