Silvia Silvestre Puchol: "I Will Remain with the Hogueras for Life"

Silvia Silvestre Puchol is representing her foguera, Parque-Plaza de Galicia, for the second time. This Alicante native first wore the mantilla and traditional bridal gown 30 years ago, and has also served as a lady of honour twice. After enjoying another experience in the district, she embarks on her journey as a candidate for the Bellea del Foc of Alicante 2025.

This is a new title added to her festive history, which began at the age of nine when she joined the Parque-Plaza de Galicia foguera, where she has always been, and where she presided over the children's committee.

These experiences, along with the excitement of the offering - her favourite event - and the family of foguerers from Parque-Plaza de Galicia, make it clear to Silvia Silvestre that "Les Fogueres de Sant Joan are an important part of my life and the best festival in the world, which I will continue to be a part of for life."

There have been many anecdotes, but Silvia Silvestre highlights a particularly amusing one. It was during the parade of the band entrance when her dames d'honor marched "so quickly that they didn't realise I was still on the Rambla while they were almost at the Town Hall." Upon commenting on the situation, "it ended in laughter seeing me so alone on the Rambla," she jokes.
