After five consecutive years as the leader in the electric scooter market in Europe, Silence, the electric vehicle brand of ACCIONA, has launched its first motorcycle, the S05 Weekender, during the International Bicycle, Motorcycle and Accessories Exhibition (EICMA), held in Milan this week. The S05 Weekender is a vehicle suitable for everyday urban use and, at the same time, capable of making small excursions on tracks.
Additionally, the company presents two significant innovations at the Milan Show: its new S02 scooter (Model Year 2025) – more robust, lightweight, and manageable – and the prototype of a third motorcycle in the grand touring category, the GT-SX Prototype, which will have more range and power for interurban routes.
The S05 Weekender is designed for weekend mobility and daily urban journeys, as a solution to the social demand for new electric mobility that neither pollutes nor makes noise. It is not an off-road motorcycle, but it is a vehicle suitable for leisure as its design allows it to travel off the asphalt. It will be available from €3,500.
The new motorcycle reaches a top speed of 120 kilometers per hour and its certified range is up to 133 kilometers. It also stands out for its lightweight (94 kilograms without battery). It features ABS brakes and a seven-inch touchscreen. Additionally, it has ample space for the passenger and a compartment under the false tank to store the helmet. There is also a basic version limited to 100 kilometers per hour.
For Carlos Sotelo, director of ACCIONA's mobility division, the launch of Silence's new motorcycle means "having a vehicle that allows for everyday commutes, but also those we make during leisure and rest time. The motorcycle does not generate noise or vibrations and respects the environment."
The new Silence S02 scooter – intended for individuals and the sharing service that the company offers in cities like Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, and Valencia, among others – is suitable for both individuals and professional use and incorporates larger wheels that provide the vehicle with greater stability and safety in driving. It is a robust vehicle, weighing only 130 kilograms with battery and with space under the driver's seat to accommodate the helmet.
This scooter model, with a starting price of €2,800, will be offered in two versions: the L1e (moped) and the L3e. They will have a top speed of 45 kilometers per hour and 90 kilometers per hour respectively, as well as a range of 133 kilometers for the more powerful version.
The prototype of the grand touring motorcycle GT-SX Prototype that Silence is working on will feature two batteries that will provide it with a range of over 200 kilometers. It will be a perfect vehicle for those who access large cities daily from metropolitan surroundings, wanting to avoid access traffic jams without polluting.
Another important point will be its cruising speed. Thanks to the new motorization, it will be able to run on interurban roads, traveling without problems at the maximum permitted speed. Like any GT, it is a fully faired motorcycle, offering excellent aerodynamic protection for both the driver and the passenger.
The motorcycle has plenty of free space under the seat, being able to easily accommodate two full-face helmets.
The three new models with which Silence attends the Milan Show share the same removable battery, a common element to all its vehicles, including the nanocar S04, which has been marketed since July in the brand's own stores and in the Nissan network in Europe.
The company has a wide network of battery exchangers that allows users who decide to purchase their vehicles in the subscription mode – reducing the price by up to 35% depending on the models – to change the batteries in just a few seconds.
