A 43-year-old man was killed in the early hours of Sunday in the Asturian town of Lugo de Llanera. The victim, of South American origin, had reportedly been in a bar earlier and upon leaving, noticed his car tyres were slashed, prompting him to walk along the pavement of the AS-374 road. It was at kilometre 2.9 that a white car appeared and shot him multiple times.
The Civil Guard, which has already begun the investigation, was informed of the incident at 00:25 hours, and several security patrols from the Piedras Blancas and Noreña Posts were dispatched to the scene. They found several shell casings corresponding to a pistol's ammunition.
After the judicial commission was activated, the judge, clerk of the Court, and forensic doctor on duty arrived at the scene, along with members of the Civil Guard's Organic Unit of Judicial Police of Asturias. After conducting the necessary forensic examination and removing the body, it was transported to the Institute of Legal Medicine.
There are security cameras in the area that could help clarify what happened.
