Sergio Sánchez Appointed as New President of the Provincial Association of Tobacconists of Alicante

The Association of Tobacconists of Alicante has announced the appointment of Sergio Sánchez as the new president of the entity, succeeding Mariger Maciá, who has served in the role for the past 16 years with commitment and dedication to the sector.

Sergio Sánchez, a 48-year-old from Alicante and secretary of the Association for the past decade, was elected president at the General Assembly on June 7th. He takes on the role with the aim of strengthening the unity of the group and defending the sector's interests in the face of new legislative challenges.

"It is an honour and a great responsibility to assume the presidency of this Association with nearly 50 years of history, representing a vital group for the economy of our province," Sánchez stated. The new president expressed his gratitude for the work of his predecessor, Mariger Maciá, whose leadership has been crucial for the sector's improvement.

Sánchez will include a significant portion of the outgoing board in his new executive committee, along with new members. With this transition, the Association of Tobacconists of Alicante begins a new phase focused on strengthening the sector, continuous training for tobacconists, and active dialogue with public institutions.
