The governing team of the San Vicente del Raspeig City Council, formed by PP and Vox, has reached an agreement to push forward the municipal budget for the year 2025. Following the signing by the two municipal spokespersons, Mercedes Torregrosa representing the PP and Adrián García for Vox, the process begins to bring the budget to the plenary session in the coming weeks, as announced by the Council.

Torregrosa has announced that, for the first time, the budget will exceed 56 million euros. The popular councillor defended "the consensual agreement that guarantees, first and foremost, a significant improvement in the services available to citizens and the continuation of the process initiated to build a more prosperous and modern city."

Seven new municipal positions

According to the councillor, another significant measure is the increase in municipal staff "as something fundamental if we want to provide better attention to the residents of San Vicente in all areas." The Human Resources department will promote the strengthening of the institution with 7 new employment positions, which will be distributed among the Local Police, Sports, and Citizen Attention, and the implementation of a professional career path.

The Vox spokesperson, on the other hand, highlighted "the significant advances in security that will result from both the incorporation of new officers and the new comprehensive project for installing control cameras throughout the municipality." Other issues prioritized by García include "the inclusion of a family promotion budget in the Senior area for activities and the development of a study to analyze the possibility of applying a reduction on municipal taxes."

Green Infrastructure

"Also, chapter 2 increases its allocation with the launch of major services," such as the new contract for the preservation of the municipality's green infrastructure, which will begin in the coming weeks, the future cleaning and waste service, or the new expanded provision for the maintenance of the sanitation network, the same sources add.

The governing team has also guaranteed the execution of works and infrastructures with an initial allocation of over 5 million euros for investments, which will be complemented by the incorporation of funds from the previous year's surpluses to finance projects such as the future municipal swimming pool. Torregrosa announced that "later a plenary session will be held to allocate these surpluses to very necessary actions for the city that we want to move forward, despite the difficulties posed by the PSOE government in maintaining a spending rule that harms municipalities."
