The UMH Science Park Opens Registrations for the 12th Edition of the Santander X Explorer Programme

The Science Park of the Miguel Hernández University of Elche (PCUMH) has opened the application period for the 12th edition of the free Santander X Explorer programme at the UMH Space centre. Entrepreneurs who register for this call will be able to receive a financial grant of 300 euros, awarded by the PCUMH, and exclusive access to the Santander X community.

Additionally, they will receive support and advice to validate their business idea and turn it into a sustainable business. Interested individuals can register alone or in teams until August 18 through the website https://explorerbyx.org/es.

This twelfth edition at the UMH will take place between September and November 2025. Over 12 weeks, those selected for this programme will develop a digital training itinerary at the UMH Space centre based on the learning by doing methodology.

In this way, they will learn self-managed leadership skills, teamwork, as well as communication and creative skills. They will also gain tools to identify potential customers, build value propositions, create a Minimum Viable Product (MVP), and develop financial projections, among others.

Moreover, they will have access to a community of participants from this programme worldwide with whom they can engage in networking activities. In this regard, Explorer has centres in Spain, Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Chile, the United States, Mexico, Peru, Portugal, the United Kingdom, and Uruguay.

After the training period, the participating projects will be evaluated, and the PCUMH will choose the most innovative proposal, which will receive a 300-euro recognition. Additionally, entrepreneurs who complete the programme will be able to validate if their idea has the potential to become a viable business and will have the opportunity to participate in the Explorer Pitch Weekend and receive crowdfunding training. Furthermore, out of all the participating projects at the national and international level, 30 will be selected to receive crowdfunding training.

Of these, finally, 20 will receive support for creating a campaign. Santander X Explorer is a talent promotion initiative sponsored by Banco Santander. The UMH became a Space centre in 2015 through the Entrepreneurship Area of the UMH Science Park. Since then, it has advised nearly 180 entrepreneurs with more than 135 innovative projects.
