Sory Kaba continues to struggle in front of goal for Elche, and the fans are beginning to lose patience as he arrived on the last day of the transfer window as one of the star signings. Coach Eder Sarabia has decided to stand by the striker and, judging by his statements, is not considering his departure in the winter transfer market. "He has an excess of responsibility that creates anxiety. He will be very important for us. He's just missing the goal," assures the Elche coach.

The Elche team visits Tenerife this Saturday in great form after a 4-0 victory over Oviedo, but Sarabia is well aware that Tenerife will play with determination due to their pressing need, being seven points away from safety. "The 4-0 has given us an extra boost of confidence," he said, but he once again appealed to "humility," reminding that in the Second Division "any opponent can beat you."

Sarabia highlighted the importance of starting the match "alert and focused" and ruled out making rotations with the Copa del Rey in mind "because we come from a great match and will maintain continuity." The coach admitted that one of his team's challenges is to finish the first half of the season "in playoff or direct promotion positions," although he clarified that the team's ongoing challenge is "day by day and match by match."

Regarding Tenerife, the Basque coach noted that they are not in their best form this season, but warned that they have quality in their squad and an experienced coach like Pepe Mel to reverse the situation. "We will need our best version," commented the coach, who assured that despite having found a preferred lineup, he is "calm" with the contributions of the less regular players.

Sarabia ruled out playing on the opponent's anxiety and stated that Elche will remain true to their style of play and will not wait "for something to happen" during the match. "We want to take advantage of the momentum we have to execute our game plan and deliver our best performance," said the coach, who revealed that his players are increasingly convinced of the playing model he is trying to implement. "They have helped me a lot to make the process easier. I am pleased with what they have shown me, and I am a better coach, and we are a better team," concluded Sarabia.
