Sara Carbonero's Grandmother Passes Away at 100

A birthday that the journalist's family celebrated just a few days ago, now overshadowed by mourning this week.

According to ¡Hola! magazine, the family matriarch passed away on Tuesday night. A sad and unexpected loss, as she "enjoyed very good health for having just turned a century old," the publication reports.

Corral de Almaguer is in mourning, and as the magazine reported, Sara, her mother Goyi Arévalo, and her sister Irene, among other relatives, are bidding farewell to one of the most important people in their lives.

A regular feature on Carbonero's Instagram, it is common to find posts dedicated to her grandmother on her profile. The journalist was very close to the family matriarch. "A whole life will not be enough to repay you for everything you have done for us," she expressed emotionally just a few days ago. Her mortal remains will be buried on Thursday morning in the Manchegan town where she lived.
