Santa Faz is bustling again after the historic pilgrimage last Thursday, where 350,000 people walked the seven kilometres from the San Nicolás co-cathedral to the Caserío to venerate the relic. As tradition dictates. And as is also tradition, the following Sunday is the second big day of the Pilgrimage, as has been shown again this 2025.
The threats of rain, yellow alert included, have dissipated in the sky, leaving a splendid day to return more calmly to the monastery, the market or the fair. The Alicante City Council, aware of the situation, has set up a Local Police operation to control traffic and in anticipation of another large number of visitors.

Residents, already familiar with the situation, have taken advantage of the media and public attention these days around the Santa Faz to voice their needs and express their complaints. This is what happened this Sunday when signs appeared around Luis Foglietti square highlighting the lack of vigilance in the district for the rest of the year.
'Welcome to Santa Faz. On weekends it is the lawless city. You can park wherever you want. On the pavements, in the gardens, at the entrances to San Rafael, etc. The Local Police will not come.'
This is one of the anonymous signs that appeared this Sunday morning, aiming to draw attention to the district's situation.
