What is the educational situation in Alicante and its province? This question will serve as a basis to address everything related to Education, the state of the schools, the new decree against classroom aggression, the announced strike planned for tomorrow by the examination boards for Secondary, Vocational Training, and Language School teachers, and the PISA report, among other issues raised by the TodoAlicante forum as part of the 'Alicante somos +' project.
To this end, the Regional Minister of Education, Jose Antonio Rovira, will inaugurate a session this Friday at Fundación Mediterráneo, which will also dedicate time to culture. In fact, following the intervention of the Valencian government member, a panel of experts titled 'Culture in Universities' will take place, featuring the presence of the Vice-Chancellor of Culture, Sports, and University Extension of UA, Catalina Ilesu, and the head of the Department of Culture, Equality, and Diversity at the Miguel Hernández University of Elche, María Asunción Amorós. Both will present the projects developed by their respective universities inside and outside the classrooms.
Representatives from various groups that carry out proposals to promote culture in the streets and squares of Alicante have joined TodoAlicante's call. With this objective, the 'Cultural Axis of San Fernando' expert panel will be developed, featuring the participation of the Deputy of Culture, Juan de Dios Navarro; the President of the College of Architects, Emilio Vicedo; the Professor and Director of the UA headquarters in Alicante, Jorge Olcina; the Director of the Department of Art and Communication at the Juan Gil Albert Institute, Estefanía Soler; and the journalist and writer, María José Marcos.
All of them will explain this initiative, which seems to be extendable to other streets and neighborhoods of the city, how they have organized it, who it involves, and the support they receive, among many other topics of interest to citizens.
