Rosa Caniego Appointed as the New Communications Director of Stellantis Iberia

Rosa Caniego will take over the position of Communications Director at Stellantis Iberia, following José Antonio León Capitán's move to Renault Spain. Previously, Caniego was responsible for communications for the Spanish subsidiaries of Jeep, Opel, Fiat, and Abarth, part of Europe's second-largest car manufacturer.

Caniego will report directly to Alessandro Nardizi, the head of Communications for Stellantis in the expanded European region, the largest area of operation for the company. The Italian executive also oversees communications for Pro One, Stellantis' commercial vehicle division.

The Madrid native graduated in Information Sciences from the Complutense University and began her career at the Royal Spanish Automobile Federation before joining the BMW Group as a press officer, eventually becoming Communications Director.

In 2017, she joined the FCA Group as Head of Corporate Communications, prior to the merger of the Italian-American group with the French PSA to form Stellantis.

The company has decided to split José Antonio León's responsibilities following his departure. Antonio González, who previously held the position of Cross Brand Operations, will take over institutional communications. This role involves seeking operational synergies among the group's 15 brands.

González studied Law and Business at the Pontifical University of Comillas and specialized in distribution, holding key positions such as Director of Peugeot Spain and Network Development of its dealerships.
