The Return of Nuria Montes and the Inclusion of Grupo Quique Dacosta and Magic Hotel Group, the Alicante Brand at the AVE Assembly

The AVE assembly is always a reason for reunion and reappearances, as was the case on this occasion. Although she attended the opening of Cevisama, former councillor Nuria Montes – now the general secretary of Hosbec – was the one who received the most greetings and embraces among those present. Among them was President Carlos Mazón, who was accompanied by First Vice President Susana Camarero and Industry Councillor Marián Cano.

Additionally, the event held at l'Alqueria del Basket was attended by the Mayor of Valencia, María José Catalá. From the social and civil sphere, the presidents of the CEV and the Council of Chambers of Commerce of the Comunitat, Salvador Navarro and José Vicente Morata, respectively; the president of Aefa Alicante, Maite Antón; president of CEV Valencia, Eva Blasco; the president of Ivefa, Emi Boix; the president of the Étnor Foundation, Pedro Coca; the Government Commissioner for the Mediterranean Corridor, Josep Vicent Boira; or the general secretary of CC OO, Ismael Sáez. Also, the president of the Jaume I Awards Foundation, Javier Quesada.

Among the business leaders were names like Juan Roig (Mercadona), Fernando Roig (Pamesa), Hortensia Roig (EDEM), Federico Félix (former president of AVE), Adolfo Utor (Baleària), Tony Mayor, hotel entrepreneur and former president of Hosbec, chef Quique Dacosta, Enrique Roquelme (Empresas del Sol), Antonio Arias (Vectalia), Agnés Noguera (Libertas 7), María José Félix (Helados Estiu), Héctor Dominguis (GDES), Francisco Segura (Grupo Segura and AVIA), Toño Pons (Importaco), Carlos Prades (Grupo Torres and FVET), Francisco Lorente (MSC), Ángelea Pérez (Health in Code), Maite Marín (Mas Camarena) or Ricard Camarena.

Furthermore, there was an emotional remembrance of AVE business leaders who passed away in the last year: José Luis Soler (Ubesol), Alfredo Quesada (Pavasal), Antonio Baixauli, and Miguel Burdeos (SPB Global).

Shortly before the assembly concluded, attendees paid tribute to businessman Héctor Colonques, founder and president of Porcelanosa Grupo, in recognition of his dedication and selfless contribution to the organisation. "It has been a surprise," Colonques confessed. "I hope you are satisfied with me," he added while receiving the 2024 Honorary Recognition from Vicente Boluda.

On the other hand, during the AVE general assembly, the names of the new members joining the entity were announced, bringing the total to 200 members, representing with their companies (and their turnover) 64% of the Comunitat's GDP.
