Residents' cooperation has been crucial in enabling the National Police to dismantle a 'very active' drug retail point in Elda. Additionally, the person responsible for this drug 'supermarket', a 35-year-old Spanish man, has been arrested.
According to a statement from the security forces, local residents reported this drug hotspot, located in two homes from where narcotics such as cocaine and marijuana were distributed.
The officers identified the individual in charge of these two residences. The suspect used one of the apartments as a drug 'supermarket', where cocaine and marijuana were sold. This apartment had strong security measures, while the other was a drug den for on-site consumption.

The officers conducted an operation that led to the arrest of the alleged perpetrator. Following the arrest, a search of the residences was conducted, resulting in the seizure of approximately 22 grams of cocaine, 256 grams of marijuana buds, 510 grams of marijuana hash, various simulated firearms, and cash.
Additionally, the electric company discovered an illegal connection to the power grid supplying the cultivation setup. The detainee was brought before the Elda Magistrate's Court on charges of public health offences and electricity fraud.
