A Resident of Alicante Imprisoned for Extorting Minors with Sexual Photos

Operations 'Bumba' and 'Jambeo' by the Civil Guard have concluded with the arrest of an Alicante resident as the alleged perpetrator of crimes against sexual freedom. After being brought before the court, the man has been imprisoned for these acts.

The complaint by two 14-year-old minors from Badajoz and Gran Canaria alerted the Civil Guard agents in both provinces, leading to the arrest of this man for allegedly engaging in 'grooming' or cyberstalking.

The investigation began last April when the parents of the two 14-year-old teenagers filed complaints in the provinces of Badajoz and Las Palmas.

In both cases, the parents confirmed that their daughters had sent sexually explicit images to an unknown adult through well-known social networks.

The arrested man allegedly contacted the two minors through a fake profile. He used the chat to empathize with them and gradually gain their trust.

Subsequently, he managed to get the victims to send him intimate images of a sexual nature, while insisting on the need for personal contact.

In one of the cases, the arrested man allegedly went as far as threatening one of the 14-year-olds with disseminating the photos to all her contacts if he did not receive more images of the same nature.

During the investigation, the Judicial Police teams of Santa María de Guía in Gran Canaria and the Technological Investigation Unit of the Civil Guard Command in Badajoz identified the same person as the alleged perpetrator of the criminal actions, this Alicante resident.

After obtaining the information and coordinating with the relevant Investigation Courts, the Civil Guard agents conducted a search of a residence in Alicante, where a large amount of electronic and computer material was seized.

Thanks to the incriminating evidence, this Alicante resident has been arrested as the alleged perpetrator of the acts. He has been charged with crimes against sexual freedom for the sexual assault suffered by the two minors. Additionally, he has been brought before the court, which has ordered his imprisonment.

The Civil Guard does not rule out the possibility that the suspect could be responsible for other similar, unreported crimes.
