Vox Replaces Ana Vega as Provincial President and Appoints Eduardo Gutiérrez as Party Leader

Vox has decided to replace Ana Vega from her position as the head of the party in the province of Alicante. Eduardo Gutiérrez de Cabiedes will now lead Vox in the province of Alicante. The outgoing provincial president will continue as a parliamentarian in the Valencian Courts.

The party confirmed this in a statement, stating that the National Executive Committee (CEN) of VOX has decided to expedite the change of the Provincial Executive Committee (CEP) of Alicante. The national leadership of the party thanked Vega for leading the far-right formation in the province since 2019, as well as her previous trajectory as a member of the CEP and her collaboration with the legal area.

They also communicated their satisfaction with her work as a regional deputy in the Valencian Courts, where she is currently serving her second term, and the responsibility she demonstrated as Syndic during the past term.

Eduardo Gutiérrez de Cabiedes Hidalgo de Caviedes (1966) is an Industrial Engineer, MBA Master (IESE), and Master in Industrial Engineering TECNUM (UNAV). He has developed his professional career in managerial positions in companies from various sectors (automotive, cement, foundry...), in different countries such as the United States, France, or Switzerland.

He is currently dedicated to Strategic Consulting, Industrial Management, and Operations and resides in San Juan (Alicante), where he has lived for twelve of the last twenty years. A member of VOX since 2014, he has held various positions of responsibility such as provincial president of Navarra, in addition to being a representative in many electoral processes that this political formation has participated in. In 2023, he was a candidate on regional lists and for the Congress of Deputies.
