One of the most famous contemporary writers from our country will visit the University of Alicante (UA) this Monday, February 24th. The author, Elvira Lindo, will be the main figure at a new meeting of the Mestres Reading Club of the Faculty of Education.
With her novel 'El otro barrio' as the backdrop, the event is open to the public and will take place in the Old Fund Room of the Education Library at 1:30 PM. This event is promoted by ACE (Spanish Association of Writers) as part of the "Writers in University Reading Clubs" program.
Elvira Lindo is a writer, screenwriter, journalist for print, radio, and television, and a regular contributor to El País and Cadena SER. Lindo is the creator of characters like Manolito Gafotas and the author of novels such as A corazón abierto (2020), Una palabra tuya (2005), Lo que me queda por vivir (2010), Algo más inesperado que la muerte (2002), and El otro barrio (1999).
She is also the author of non-fiction books such as Places I Don't Want to Share with Anyone (2011), Noches sin dormir (2015), and 30 Ways to Take Off Your Hat (2018). The next meeting of the Reading Club will take place on March 31st with the presence of Clara Sánchez to discuss her book Infierno en el Paraíso.
