Effective from September 16th, Christian Stein will assume the role of International Communication Director for Renault Group, replacing Stéphanie Cau who is leaving the company. Under the leadership of Luca de Meo, CEO of Renault Group, he will be responsible for the communication of all Group activities on a global scale.
According to the automotive group, Christian will play "a key role in continuing to transform the Group into the most progressive European automotive company in an industry undergoing profound changes."
To achieve this, he will lead a renewed team "with recognized expertise in communication and driven by a shared passion: to promote the company, its know-how and historical recovery, its horizontality, and its products to all target audiences."
Christian Stein began his career in 1991 at PSA, where he remained until 2011, taking on increasing responsibilities within the sales and marketing department. During these years, he worked and lived in Belgium, France, Spain, and the United Kingdom, gaining experience both centrally and nationally.
In 2011, he joined the Volkswagen Group as Global Marketing Director for the SEAT brand before assuming the role of Global Communication and Public Affairs Director for SEAT S.A. and its brands SEAT and CUPRA from 2015 onwards.
After more than 20 years abroad, Christian Stein returned to France in November 2020 when he joined Renault Group as Brand Communication Director before becoming Chief Revenue Officer and Customer Experience at Ampere in November 2023.
Luca de Meo, CEO of Renault Group has acknowledged Stein's work by stating that "he will play a decisive role in bringing communication closer to our employees and all our external stakeholders to contribute to the ambitious goals we have set. His international experience will allow us to maintain and drive the strength of our brands as well as the reach of the Group in all countries."
De Meo also referred to Stéphanie Cau stating that "she contributed dynamically and significantly to the launch of emblematic products and the announcement of historic results. I wish her all the best for her future projects."
