The Regional Assembly of Més Endorses Natxo Bellido as Candidate for the Executive of L'Alacantí de Compromís

The regional assembly of Més Compromís in L'Alacantí last Tuesday gathered over 40 members from all local groups. The meeting served to unanimously approve the proposal of the regional secretary of Més (formerly Bloc), Natxo Bellido, as a candidate to lead the new executive of the coalition in this territorial area. Once Més has made its decision, it will be brought to the negotiation table regarding the new regional executive with the different parties (Més, Iniciativa, and Verds).

In recent weeks, critical voices regarding the way this negotiation was developing had criticized this move as an attempt at pressure. However, Més believes that this decision will be conveyed to the Compromís bodies in the usual framework of operation. "We approve our proposals internally and then take them to the negotiation with the coalition, as is done in all processes," Bellido stated.

The agenda also addressed the project of the new headquarters of Més Compromís in Sant Joan, which aims to become a reference space for the political and social work of the coalition in the region.

The assembly also emphasized the need to resume negotiations for the regional executive with a view to building a strong and diverse team to face the 2027 elections with confidence.

During the meeting, members were informed about the topics to be discussed at the upcoming National Council of Més, scheduled for June 28. Among them are the renewal of the party's financial charter and the negotiation process of the Sumar parliamentary group in Congress.

Regional representatives insisted that decisions regarding relations with Sumar and Més's participation in that parliamentary group are being made from the party's national bodies, in a process based on internal dialogue within Compromís and the Bloc itself.
