The University of Alicante will commence the academic year next Monday with one thing clear: "it will proceed as usual" in all its programs, including the Medicine degree. This was expressed by Rector Amparo Navarro this Thursday, emphasizing that the authorization decree "remains in effect until a judge rules otherwise."

The academic institution's leader has underscored her stance of "continuing to defend the degree and the legitimate interests of students who chose UA," despite the Consell's concession to the appeal filed by Miguel Hernández University of Elche for "the annulment of the degree" at the San Vicente campus.

Thus, Navarro remains committed to "institutional respect" and keeps open the possibility for both institutions to collaborate, "as we have done with all the degrees we offer at both universities." "We want to add this program, this degree. To start sharing, and to share, there must be two."
