June has set monthly occupancy records in hotels and apartments in the province of Alicante. This has been confirmed by the Provincial Association of Hotels of Alicante (APHA) for the sixth month of the year, which with real and definitive data places this figure at 83.1%.
Alicante thus consolidates the growth in occupancy, surpassing the same record of this month in 2024 by 2.6 percentage points. However, despite June being considered the start of the high season, this month did not surpass May, when the rate was one point higher.
Regarding profitability, APHA also notes that it performed adequately and surpassed the economic indicators of the previous year.
Business owners believe that the good weather throughout June, as well as the Hogueras festival in Alicante, have allowed for good occupancy levels.

Expectations for July are positive. The forecast, prepared in collaboration with the City of Alicante Tourism Chair, predicts an occupancy rate of 85.8% for this month, slightly below the 2024 rate.
Occupancy by municipalities
Business owners have noted that the city of Alicante has significantly improved its figures. The municipality has achieved a general rate of 86.8%. Additionally, areas such as Playa de San Juan have nearly reached full capacity with an occupancy of 94.1%.

Among international travellers, the most numerous were from the United Kingdom (25.1%), followed by Ireland (7.3%), Germany (6.0%), France (5.3%), the Netherlands (4.8%), the United States (4.3%), and Italy (4.1%).
The most frequent national tourists were from the Valencian Community itself (26.8%), followed by those from the Community of Madrid (25.5%), Catalonia (9.6%), Andalusia (7.8%), Castilla La Mancha (6.4%), Castilla y León (5.3%), and the Region of Murcia (4.0%).
