Real Madrid gave no chance to Deportiva Minera, securing a comfortable victory in what was the most relaxed match they have had in a long time. Goals from Valverde, Camavinga, and Arda Güler settled the match before halftime, showcasing the vast difference between a battleship and a modest schooner from the very first whistle. Modric and Arda Güler again sealed the win in the second half for Carlo Ancelotti's team, who rotated the squad, introduced three players from the academy who had not yet debuted officially with the first team, and offered half an hour of Mbappé and Vinicius as an additional gift to the local fans who were thrilled despite their team's defeat.
Far from approaching the match against a Segunda RFEF rival with a complacent spirit that could have been a trap, Carlo Ancelotti's team was determined to settle the contest quickly, overpowering an opponent that could only endure the onslaught with the best face possible. Nevertheless, the Deportiva Minera fans enjoyed the festive afternoon, witnessing up close a giant that lived up to expectations by completing the match with exquisite seriousness.
Real Madrid showed respect for the dream of a modest team in a land of sailors, immediately setting sail for a calm voyage before heading to Saudi Arabia, where they will embark on a Super Cup expected to be stormy.

Ancelotti made it clear in Cartagena that he doesn't trust even his shadow. He didn't initially forgo Valverde, his favourite centurion. A starter in every match of the season, one might have thought Carletto would spare him in a low-profile match. He did, but only after halftime. Better to be on guard, the strategist must have thought, given past experiences. And for that, nothing better than giving command to the Uruguayan in a midfield full of experience, while Endrick emerged from obscurity at the forefront and the rearguard was filled with 'mirlos'.
Four players raised in the academy formed the shield behind which Lunin took cover, who had little work. One of them already established in the elite like Fran García and another, Asencio, on the way to doing so. Alongside them, two promising players sharing the surname Aguado, Lorenzo and Diego. The latter, a left-footed centre-back just 17 years old, plays for the Juvenil A and shows great promise.
We will have to see him perform in more demanding arenas, as Deportiva Minera's hope lasted barely five minutes. That's how long it took Valverde to breach Fran Martínez's goal, who had successfully dealt with two previous one-on-ones against Arda Güler and Endrick, but was left helpless against a point-blank shot from the Falcon. He also couldn't stop a header from Camavinga after a cross from Fran García that left even the scorer incredulous.
Real Madrid dominated at will, turning the contest into a playground for the youngsters, although Omar Perdomo came close to narrowing the gap with a shot from midfield that gave Lunin a good scare. Modric was overseeing, in case anyone got carried away. Arda Güler did not, destined to one day inherit the legacy of an eternal genius and found an involuntary collaborator to widen the gap.
There was no mercy for the modest team. Even Lorenzo Aguado dared to charge down the number nine lane. Everyone wanted their goal on a calm afternoon. More than anyone, Endrick, who was presented with an ideal scenario to prove himself but whose best chance was thwarted by Fran Martínez, outstanding amid relentless bombardment and vital in preventing a greater rout despite Modric scoring again at the start of the second half in the second consecutive match scoring for the Croatian at his excellently maintained 39 years, and Arda Güler doing so again.
