The InteractUA platform of the University of Alicante (UA) has launched the first rap contest. The competition aims to discover artistic talents on campus, which is why the platform has also promoted the fifth edition of the visual arts contest.

Soloists and groups can enter the music contest, with the fundamental requirement that at least one person has been enrolled at the university during the 2024/2025 academic year. Additionally, participants must have at least 30 minutes of their own discography and three studio-recorded tracks.
Interested parties can submit their applications until September 1, 2025. On September 18, at the university campus, all applicants will perform their pieces live, and the jury will select the winners.
The contest is sponsored by Rocanrola, one of the country's most important alternative festivals. Thanks to this collaboration, the winner or winners of the first prize will be able to perform on the LivingPark stage of the festival on October 9. Additionally, the three winners will be awarded a general festival pass, allowing them entry for all three days.
The platform is highly committed to new musical talents. The rap contest is not the only musical activity they organize. In May, the fifth edition of the emerging bands contest was held, with participation from more than 10 groups competing for a cash prize and the opportunity to perform at the welcome concert for the new 2025/2026 academic year. The winning group was Tere Priore, followed by Kala and Kafka's Kat.

On another note, InteractUA has opened registrations for its fifth edition of the visual arts contest. Those who have completed any degree or study at the institution during the 2024/2025 academic year and are registered on the organizing platform can participate.
Participants can submit works of painting, photography, illustration, or video art and have until September 28 to present their pieces. Unlike previous years, this edition has no thematic restrictions, allowing students to create a unique work without any creative limitations.

The winners of this contest will receive a cash prize. The first prize is 235 euros, while the second and third prizes are 115 euros each. Additionally, all awarded works will be exhibited at the University of Alicante Museum.
