Rain and Storms Already Leave Over 70 Litres Per Square Metre in Alicante Province

On Thursday, the scene has changed dramatically in the province of Alicante, especially in the northern regions. It is there where storms have already left more than 70 litres per square metre so far today.
In La Vall d'Ebo, the meteorological station of Avamet, located at the Refugio La Figuereta, has recorded a total of 74.5 litres per square metre of rain and storms so far.
The accumulated precipitation continues to reach its maximum records in Forna, with 71.8 mm; while in Pego - at the Corral de Rata station - a maximum of 59.2 litres per square metre is accumulated.
In other areas of this municipality of the Marina Alta of Alicante, other records have been obtained, such as 45.2 litres per square metre at the Pego centre station or 41.7 mm in Ambra.
Thus, other municipalities in this northern region of Alicante report accumulations of 53.8 litres per square metre in Sagra, in the Costera de la Bolata.
Moreover, the Laboratory of Climatology at the University of Alicante has announced that the Inforatge meteorological station in Jesús Pobre, a local entity of Dénia, has accumulated more than 100 litres per square metre so far this Thursday. However, they await validation of the data.
