Alicante is progressing in the renewal of its fleet of patrol and service vehicles for the Local Police. The Local Government Board pre-awarded this Tuesday the supply of 12 units, including six passenger cars, three SUVs for patrol, two vans, and another specifically for beach surveillance, resembling a golf cart. The Board approved the classification of companies participating in this tender, which was put out for nearly 600,000 euros and will soon be finalized.
The municipal governing body has ratified the classification and proposal for awarding the companies competing in the tender for supplying 13 new vehicles for the Local Police, divided into six lots. Lot 1 involves the supply of 3 all-terrain patrol vehicles with a bidding price of 184,255 euros; Lot 2, an extra-long van with a raised roof for 95,759.28 euros; Lot 3, a light passenger van for 68,937.26 euros; Lot 4, a 100% electric patrol vehicle resembling a golf cart for 36,300 euros; Lot 5, an all-terrain quad for 14,532.10 euros; and Lot 6, the supply of six sedan-type patrol vehicles for 189,892 euros. In total, the tender for the six lots has a bidding price of 589,675.91 euros.

The company Movil S.A. has submitted the best offers for lots 1, 2, 3, and 6; while Grau Maquinaria y Servei Integral S.A. is best positioned for lot 4. Lot 5, for the supply of an all-terrain quad, has been left vacant. The agreement now requires companies to present the final guarantee for each lot and the documentation to prove economic and financial solvency to proceed with the award and signing of the supply contract.
The municipal spokesperson, Cristina Cutanda, recalled that this contract "is part of the program for the renewal and modernization of facilities, equipment, and vehicle fleets for municipal emergency and security services, which this City Council has been carrying out," which includes investments exceeding six million euros.
In this regard, it is worth noting that on December 19, the mixed contract for the drafting of the project and execution of the first phase of the Local Police Headquarters building on Locutor Vicente Hipólito Avenue was published, with a bidding budget of 2,915,850.93 euros. Additionally, last December, 28 new officers were sworn in as Local Police officers, bringing the force to 521 members, including officers, officials, and commanders.
