À Punt to Add Bullfighting Programme to Its TV Schedule

À Punt is set to broadcast its new bullfighting programme, 'La plaça', every Saturday. The show is hosted by Jorge Casals, a journalist from La Llosa (Plana Baixa) known for his coverage of local and festive events. The programme debuted last Tuesday with a special on the Fira de les Fogueres, preceding the first bullfight broadcast by À Punt from Alacant, which attracted 164,000 unique viewers and a 5.7% share. Regular broadcasts will be on Saturdays before the NTC Migdia news bulletin.

The programme will feature interviews with prominent figures in the bullfighting world, emerging talents, breeders, and industry experts. Each week, viewers can enjoy reports from Valencian ranches, filmed on location with careful visual production. Additionally, 'La plaça' will explore the world of 'bou al carrer', from Onda (Plana Baixa) to Vall d'Uixó (Plana Baixa), including small towns and regional capitals.

A weekly review of various national bullfighting fairs will also be included, along with interviews with figures such as bullfighter Roca Rey, a special guest on the second programme, and other confirmed names like José María Manzanares and Juan Ortega. The reports will also feature bullfighting schools in the Valencian Community, and the show will delve into other aspects of bullfighting.

The programme is directed by Ricardo Villalba, with technical production by Cristina Malo. The production company behind 'La plaça' is Proyecto Polaris Comunicació SL.
