À Punt, the Valencian public television, will broadcast the Three Wise Men parade from Alcoi this Sunday, January 5th, starting at 18:10, marking it as the oldest parade in Spain.
On the afternoon of January 5th, starting at 17:00, À Punt will await the arrival of the Wise Men from the East with music by DJ Butoni, featuring the new anthem 'Som de la Colla' performed with Dragolina and Davisito, and the song 'Un bon Nadal amb tu' with Daniela Llobell, as well as 'La fera salvatge', a parody of 'Potra salvaje' by this DJ, among other versions, as announced by the corporation.
At 18:10, the public television will offer a live broadcast from Alcoi of the Three Wise Men parade, featuring a significant technical setup including 14 cameras and a drone to provide "unprecedented and spectacular images" of the arrival of Melchior, Gaspar, and Balthazar.
Alcoi journalists Ferran Cano and Reis Juan will lead the broadcast, supported by reporters Carles Navarro, Berta Báidez, and Clàudia Argent.
The spectacular parade, dating back to 1866 and the oldest in Spain, will be led by the Three Wise Men and will include the traditional ascent of pages to the homes of Alcoi's children, with À Punt's cameras capturing the excitement and emotion of the most magical night of the year.
Additionally, the Gospel Spirit choir from Valencia will perform live from Alcoi. This group originated from a "unique and different" school and reinterprets gospel classics.
Moreover, after the Sunday news, À Punt will air a special episode of the contest 'A la saca', hosted by Eugeni Alemany.
In this special edition, the contestants are three boys and three girls from sixth grade who will play with a different dynamic designed for the night of the Three Wise Men. The sacks will not contain money but points to win prizes, such as a state-of-the-art laptop or a family trip to a well-known amusement park.
