PSOE attempts to exert pressure on the Popular Party regarding the situation of the President of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón. They elevate the matter by involving the leader of the Popular Party, Alberto Núñez Feijóo. The latest move was made by the General Secretary of the PSPV-PSOE, Diana Morant. The Valencian socialists are now considering a motion of no confidence against the head of the Consell, Carlos Mazón, due to the management of the storm. They do so in the form of an ultimatum: "If Feijóo does not take action in the coming hours, the PSPV will," she stated at a public appearance this Friday at the Valencia headquarters.

The PSPV had already ruled out the possibility of presenting a motion of no confidence against Mazón when it was proposed by Compromís. The nationalist formation does not have the minimum votes required to present it in Les Corts, but if the two left-wing forces unite, it could at least be discussed in the regional chamber.

The socialists would count on Compromís. The nationalist spokesperson, Joan Baldoví, has already requested a meeting with Morant to present the motion of no confidence.

Whether it succeeds is another matter, as it would require the votes of Vox. Neither the PSPV nor Compromís have any relationship with Abascal's party. At least, that's what they say publicly. They would need an absolute majority in the chamber to change the President of the Generalitat.

In fact, Morant has stated that "under no circumstances" would she speak with Vox to try to gauge support for the aforementioned motion of no confidence.

In this regard, Morant lamented that Mazón is "in the hands of a parliamentary majority that last week, in the face of a censure request, continued to support Mazón." "A parliamentary majority as indecent as Mazón, formed by the PP and Vox, who continue to support Mazón's indecency," she insisted.

"From the very beginning, and in the face of Mazón's indecency, who has not wanted to resign, we have appealed to Feijóo, and I will do so again. If Feijóo does not take action in the coming hours, the PSPV will," she asserted.

Whether the motion succeeds is complicated. Therefore, Morant has insisted that Mazón is "in the hands of Feijóo and his party." "It is his party that does not take action, which last week reaffirmed Mazón in Les Corts, alongside Vox," she reproached.

"The one who must take action and can do so is Feijóo; there are precedents in this community of a PP removing a 'president' of the Generalitat from the PP. It is in Mr. Feijóo's hands. If he does not take action, we will certainly take action because clearly Mazón's situation is becoming increasingly untenable," she concluded.
