The General Secretary of the PSPV-PSOE in the province of Alicante, Alejandro Soler, has demanded that the President of the Generalitat, Carlos Mazón, "fulfill the commitment made and take a further step towards the construction of public housing at an affordable price for thousands of young people and families" in the Valencian Community. Soler made these statements following the provincial executive meeting of the socialists held this Monday afternoon.
Soler stated that "Mazón has the responsibility to work on a plan that addresses the lack of housing supply, the existing legal uncertainty in the real estate market, or the excessive price increases." The socialists are calling for "a set of real, effective, and agile measures, in collaboration with other administrations to develop a public housing stock that responds to the needs of our citizens."
The General Secretary emphasized the actions of the Government: "Pedro Sánchez has been working for months on measures very different from those proposed by the PP, which are reminiscent of Aznar's real estate bubble model." The Government, Soler recalls, "proposes a public company whose main objective will be the massive promotion of public housing for affordable rent, transforming it from a financial instrument into what the Constitution states, a fundamental right."
The General Secretary concluded by assuring that "from the Socialist Party, we will continue with the responsibility that characterizes us, for the needs and demands of our neighbors."
