The President of the Provincial Council, Toni Pérez, and the Mayor of Elche, Pablo Ruz, signed an agreement this Monday at the headquarters of the Provincial Council of Alicante to transfer premises for cultural use to the City Council. The transfer will be for one year, extendable for an additional four years. A total of 900 square meters will be allocated for cultural use.

Toni Pérez indicated that "we had a clear roadmap and we are transferring this property to make it available to the City Council and cultural activities. We are putting to use something that has cost us so much."

The Mayor of Elche, Pablo Ruz, emphasized that "we are going to move the box office of the Gran Teatro to La Glorieta and additionally gain exhibition rooms—one of 500 square meters and other cultural rooms for the municipality, which will allow the Provincial Council to have a permanent presence in Elche."

The Provincial Council has reminded that progress continues on the bidding project for the new Provincial Palace of Elche. Ruz highlighted the significant support from the Provincial Council in the municipality "not only with the palace, which has already seen a four-year investment in land costs, but also with the neural development center, the repair of the main irrigation ditch of the reservoir, or even the social center in Arenales del Sol that we inaugurated this week."
