The Alicante Provincial Council will invest €3,475,000 this year in the development and promotion of culture in the province through three aid programs aimed at non-profit organizations, town councils, and municipalities at risk of depopulation for the realization of cultural, musical, and performing arts activities.

As explained by the Deputy of Culture, Juan de Dios Navarro, the grants are intended "to promote and support the planning and execution of cultural programs in the municipalities, contributing to their maintenance and consolidation so that citizens can enjoy a diverse and quality offer."

Among the activities eligible for subsidy are the organization of musical performances, festivals, competitions, fairs, contests, tributes, exhibitions, congresses, or symposiums, as well as the design, layout, editing, printing, and reproduction of books and magazines, CDs, DVDs, or any other publication in paper or digital format, freely accessible to the public.

On one hand, the Culture area will distribute €2,700,000 among the province's town councils, €210,000 among those municipalities at risk of depopulation, and €565,000 allocated to foundations and other non-profit entities. The deadline for submitting applications will end on February 10, and the bases can be consulted at https://diputacionalicante.sedelectronica.es/.

On the other hand, Thursday, January 16, marks the deadline to apply for grants to town councils, foundations, and other non-profit entities in the province for museums and museographic collections 2025.

These grants, endowed with €205,000, consist of four lines: the first aimed at conserving, cataloguing, restoring, and orderly exhibiting their collections; a second focused on research; the third for preparing and publishing catalogues and monographs of their collections; and a final one for developing educational activities regarding their content.
