Preparations Underway for Children's Candidate Gatherings

La ciudad de Alicante will officially twinned with Burriana next April through the gatherings of the children's 'bellea del foc' candidates 2025.

A delegation from the Federation of the Fogueres de Sant Joan travelled to the Castellón municipality this Thursday to meet with the Burriana City Council to "finalise the details".

Thus, the mayor of Burriana, Jorge Monferrer, and the Fallas councillor, Paloma Boix, met with the Federation president, David Olivares, his vice president, José Ángel Llorca, and the technical area delegate, Roberto Fernández.

This meeting has allowed the finalisation of the programme of events that the children's candidates will experience on the upcoming 21st and 22nd of April in the Burriana municipality, days that will unite the fallera essence with the tradition of the Alicante Bonfires.

To this end, the festive agenda of the Alicante Bonfires in Burriana will include on April 21st a parade of candidates, a festive music concert, a grand mascletà, and the burning of the 'Germanor' bonfire, crafted by the official children's bonfire artist, Sergio Gómez.

The candidates will enjoy a maritime day on Sunday, April 22nd. The Burriana City Council and the Federation have organised a nautical tasting at the Escola del Mar in the maritime environment.

The major days for the children's candidates for the 'bellea del foc' of Alicante will begin on April 25th, just days after the gatherings in Burriana, with the catwalk that will be installed for the first time at the José Rico Pérez stadium in Alicante.

The election of the children's 'bellea del foc' of Alicante 2025 will take place on May 2nd at the Alicante bullring. The proclamation will be moved this year to the Town Hall square, scheduled for May 16th.
