Officers from the National Police have arrested five individuals for public disorder, assault, serious threats, and illegal possession of weapons in Madrid's Cañada Real, as reported today by the Superior Police Headquarters in a statement.
The incident occurred around 4:30 a.m. this Friday when a call was received via CIMACC-091 regarding gunfire. Officers immediately arrived at the scene, finding a crowd of agitated people due to a fight between members of two families.
The swift action of the police units prevented the confrontation, resulting in six minor injuries, including a woman in an advanced stage of pregnancy who was taken to a hospital.
Following a subsequent inspection inside the residence of one of the involved parties, officers discovered four hunting shotguns and 78 cartridges, as well as a spent cartridge on the public road. Additionally, one of the participants in the dispute was found carrying a knife among his belongings.
As a result, the police arrested five men aged between 23 and 79 as alleged perpetrators of the aforementioned crimes, remaining in police custody until they are brought before a judge. Two of them were taken to the hospital in a minor condition.
