Power Outages of Up to Six Hours in Several Streets in Central Alicante

July begins with new power outages in the city of Alicante. Several streets in the city centre will be without supply for more than six hours this Tuesday, July 1st, due to improvement works on the electrical network.

The electricity company Iberdrola has announced power outages to enhance the quality of supply to several buildings. Therefore, they will temporarily cut off the power between 8:30 AM and 2 PM this Tuesday.

The area of Alicante's Ensanche will be the most affected, with power outages lasting more than six hours on four streets during the morning of July 1st.

Thus, the power outages will occur on Germany, Archbishop Loaces, Italy, and Portugal streets, starting at 8:30 AM this Tuesday, with the supply expected to be restored from 2 PM onwards.

The electricity company Iberdrola offers several tips to cope with these scheduled power outages during the summer. They emphasise organising before leaving home, considering the supply in the lift and garage.

They also stress not opening the fridge or freezer door to maintain the cold chain and recommend resetting its initial temperature when the power returns.

In households with children, Iberdrola highlights the need to explain what will happen during the power outage. They also suggest keeping them entertained with board games, stories, or crafts.

The city of Alicante will not be the only locality experiencing power outages this Tuesday, July 1st. Another affected municipality is Aspe, where the electricity supply will be interrupted at various times throughout the day.

Power outages will start at 7:30 AM in Aljau Passage 62 for half an hour, and also from 4 PM to 4:30 PM. They will continue from 8 AM to 8:30 AM in Meseguera Road 77, Juan Cerdán 53, 65, 69, 79, 109, 117, 121, 127, 129, 134, 120, and 174. In this area, the supply will be interrupted again from 4:30 PM to 5 PM.

Cocentaina is another of the municipalities in Alicante affected by power outages this Tuesday, July 1st. The supply will be interrupted between 7:30 AM and 8 AM, and between 2 PM and 2:30 PM on the following streets: Brezo, Carrasca, Espigol, Madreselva, Olmo, Romer, Rosella, Tejo, Trébol, Fresno, and Mariola Square.

The municipality of Novelda will also experience power outages this Tuesday, July 1st, from 4 PM to 4:30 PM on Calses, Elche, Campet, and Veinte y uno roads; while in Petrer, they will occur from 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM in Veinte La Pepiosa and Veintino Figueralet passages.
