Power Outages in Alicante: Up to Six Hours of Blackout in San Juan Beach
The electricity company will cut the supply in this city neighbourhood to carry out maintenance and improvement work

Residents of Alicante will experience power outages lasting up to six hours this Wednesday. One of the most affected neighbourhoods will be San Juan Beach, with a six-hour supply interruption starting at 8:30 AM.
The outages will leave several apartment blocks without electricity during the morning of June 11, with the supply expected to be restored by 2:30 PM in this area of Alicante.
The streets affected by the power outages include Benidorm Avenue, Costa Blanca, Santander, and Carmelo Simón Pla, across various numbers and blocks.

The electricity company Iberdrola has announced that the power outages in this Alicante neighbourhood will occur from 8:30 AM to 2:30 PM to conduct maintenance and improvement work on the electrical grid.
Additionally, another street in Alicante that will also experience power outages is number 12 Juan de Herrera, located between the Central Market and the bullring. This building will be without supply between 8:30 AM and 11:30 AM this Wednesday.

Other municipalities in Alicante that will experience power outages this Wednesday, June 11, include: Elda from 9 AM to 12 PM; La Nucia from 9 AM to 9:20 AM and from 4:40 PM to 5 PM; Pedreguer from 8 AM to 8:30 AM and from 5:30 PM to 6 PM; and La Vila Joiosa from 8 AM to 10 AM.
The power outages will continue on Thursday, June 12, in: Alcoi from 9 AM to 11 AM; Aspe from 8:30 AM to 9 AM and from 4 PM to 4:30 PM; Banyeres de Mariola from 8 AM to 11 AM; and San Vicente del Raspeig from 8 AM to 8:30 AM and from 1:30 PM to 2 PM.
The town of Orihuela will also have power outages from 7 AM to 9 AM on Friday, June 13.
What to Do During a Power Outage
Iberdrola advises on what to do during a power outage. First, avoid using the elevator during the scheduled hours or take the car out of the garage before the power supply interruption.
It is also important to consider meals, as the power outage may affect their preparation; similarly, do not open the freezer or refrigerator doors to maintain the cold chain.
The company insists on always having a flashlight with batteries at hand, informing neighbours and family members to be alert during the power outage, and keeping warm clothing accessible.
