In a high-rise city operation, National Police officers have dismantled a criminal group involved in drug trafficking. Three individuals have been arrested for both alleged crimes, being part of a mafia and distributing drugs in various parts of Benidorm. The detainees are two Italian men aged 33 and 49, and a 37-year-old woman.

The Drug and Organized Crime Unit (UDYCO) of the National Police in Benidorm conducted this operation after discovering a cocaine distribution point located in a residence in this municipality of Alicante. From there, they distributed drugs across various leisure areas.

The investigation led to the identification of the residence, which was used as the main base for this criminal group, according to police findings. The police located the property where various narcotics were stored for distribution in Benidorm venues.

Officers also discovered that the group's main leader used a former employment relationship with a hospitality establishment, along with friendships with its staff, to arrange meetings with drug buyers. It was there that drug and money transactions took place.

The investigation reached its conclusion when National Police officers intercepted the suspect's vehicle. During surveillance, officers observed the main suspect transporting two packages suspected to be narcotics. Upon searching the car, they confirmed the packages contained 2,164 grams of cocaine.

This discovery enabled National Police officers to arrest two members of this drug trafficking mafia in Benidorm. They also conducted a search of both suspects' residences, seizing more drugs: 1,570 grams of hashish, 19 grams of ecstasy, and 12 grams of pink cocaine, also known as 'tusi'. The residence also contained various tools for drug manipulation for distribution and sale.

Officers also located the third suspect involved in this drug trafficking gang. Subsequently, he was arrested, like the other two suspects, for alleged drug trafficking and membership in a criminal group. All have been brought before the Benidorm Magistrate's Court.
