Oriana Larisa Kemelmajer, the pianist, has emerged as the winner of the 40th edition of the 'Society of Concerts-Oftalvist' Interpretation Award, a prize "very important for any young musician starting their career," she noted.
The young pianist expressed "great surprise and shock" upon receiving this award, which includes a cash prize of 3,000 euros, a certificate, and two free passes for the season's concerts. Additionally, Kemelmajer will perform a recital in Alicante.
Furthermore, the competition winner highlighted that "since birth, I have been surrounded by a circle where classical music had a significant presence, and I have had a great affinity," adding, "I feel very honoured that the hard work I do is recognised."
The "fierce competition" concluded with accordionist Sofía Ros González in second place. The jury of the competition also awarded two honourable mentions, which went to Andrea Braga in the singing category and another to Alicante pianist Juan Rodes.
