The province of Alicante has more than 800 active pharmacies. Of these, around 150 are located in the capital. Residents of Alicante are fortunate to have one of the provinces with the highest number of pharmacies in all of Spain. Specifically, Alicante ranks fifth, just behind Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, and Seville.
