Perico Durán has broken his silence regarding the recent split with Lara Álvarez, describing it as 'a triumph of conscious love'. The couple, who had experienced a youthful romance, reunited years later to rekindle a story that ultimately could not be, yet both cherish fond memories. 'We have respected each other completely, been loyal, loved and supported each other through good times and bad,' Durán shared in an interview with Cope.

'It is a triumph of conscious, healthy love, and I am very proud of how we handled it,' he remarked. 'There was never a lie, a raised voice, or harm done to one another. Lara is an incredibly important person to me, whom I admire greatly and will always wish the best for,' he confessed. The television presenter echoed similar sentiments: 'We both feel the same. He is entirely right and truthful, and I don't think it could have been explained better. I completely agree, I endorse all his words. Truly, I believe that when there is genuine love, goodbyes are not easy, but sometimes they are necessary to respect that love,' she emphasized.

When asked about the possibility of a new chance with the pilot, Lara did not close the door: 'Can you imagine me answering that? Instead of answering, I would make a business out of it: I would become a fortune teller. My goodness! I have no idea, honestly. But I can assure you that I wish him the best, always, in everything.'
