Paulo Carelli Appointed Brand Director of Fiat and Abarth for Spain and Portugal

Stellantis Iberia has announced immediate changes in the leadership of its Fiat and Abarth brands for Spain and Portugal. Under the supervision of Marco Cane, Managing Director of Stellantis Iberia, Paulo Carelli has been appointed as the new Brand Director of Fiat/Abarth for both countries, while maintaining his current responsibilities as Brand Director of Jeep in the region.

This appointment signifies a strategic shift in the leadership structure of Stellantis Iberia. Paulo Carelli, with a strong track record in the company, now takes on the leadership of two key brands, Fiat and Abarth, in addition to continuing to lead Jeep.

Paulo Carelli consolidates his position within Stellantis Iberia, taking on the responsibility of three important brands in the Spanish and Portuguese markets. His experience and leadership will be crucial in driving the growth and consolidation of Fiat, Abarth, and Jeep in the region.

Graduated in Marketing and Economics from the University of Palermo (Buenos Aires) and holding an MBA from the University of CEMA in Argentina, Paulo Carelli has extensive international experience in the automotive sector, which began in 1996 with his joining the Argentine subsidiary of Alfa Romeo as National Director.

In 2001, he moved to Turin to take on various responsibilities at the Alfa Romeo headquarters, including overseeing the operations of the Italian brand in key markets in Europe and East Asia.

His first direct contact with the Spanish market came in 2007, as director of Alfa Romeo in Spain, a position he held until 2011, when he was appointed CEO of the Fiat Group in Greece.

Six years later, he returned to Spain as Commercial Director of Alfa Romeo and Jeep until, in 2019, he assumed the General Management of both brands for the Spanish market. With the creation of Stellantis, he was appointed General Director of Jeep for Spain and Portugal in April 2021.

Meanwhile, Artur Fernandes, who previously held the position of Brand Director of Fiat/Abarth in Spain and Portugal, will take on new roles within Stellantis, which will be announced in the near future.
