Over 1,000 Counterfeit Luxury Brand Items Seized in Elche Warehouse

National and Local Police in Elche have conducted a joint operation, seizing over a thousand counterfeit luxury brand items from an industrial warehouse in the town. The products were stored in nearly twenty boxes. The operation concluded with the arrest of a 43-year-old man on suspicion of crimes against industrial and intellectual property.

The discovery stemmed from a routine inspection by the municipal security forces at a transport company's warehouse. Following the inspection, the officers informed the National Police about the numerous boxes containing luxury brand items that were allegedly counterfeit.

Upon identifying the location, several officers arrived at the scene and seized 19 boxes containing 1,168 counterfeit handbags and wallets imitating prestigious brands.

After various inquiries conducted by the investigators, the recipient of the goods was identified as a 43-year-old man, who was arrested on suspicion of crimes against industrial and intellectual property.

Once the police proceedings were completed, all actions were forwarded to the Magistrate's Court on duty in Elche. The investigation remains open, aiming to locate the legal representatives of the affected brands and determine the origin of the counterfeit goods.
