The Civil Guard has arrested a 47-year-old Venezuelan for committing ten crimes of burglary in vehicles and two in public establishments in the town of Callosa d'en Sarrià, Alicante. The detainee has been placed at the disposal of the Investigating Court No. 4 of Villajoyosa.
The investigation began last June after detecting an increase in vehicle burglaries in the urban center of Callosa d'En Sarrià. Faced with this situation, the Civil Guard agents from the Callosa Post, to clarify the facts, initiated Operation 'McQueen' by intensifying investigations and security prevention devices in the town.

After studying the data obtained through citizen collaboration, conducting various surveillances, and thoroughly analyzing the collected evidence, investigators managed to identify a suspect with specific physical characteristics. This information was crucial to link the suspect to several reported burglaries.
The detainee primarily operated in parking areas and public establishments, where he stole cash, bank documents, and other valuable items. The evidence gathered during the investigation linked him not only to vehicle burglaries but also to crimes committed inside establishments.
The suspect was arrested thanks to the cooperation of the Local Police of Callosa d'en Sarrià, who located him while he was attempting to commit a new burglary inside a vehicle.
The detainee, a 47-year-old Venezuelan national charged with a total of 12 crimes of burglary, 10 of them inside vehicles and 2 in public establishments, has been placed at the disposal of the Investigating Court No. 4 of Villajoyosa, which has ordered his release with precautionary measures imposed.
