OPENDIR Gears Up: 1200 Attendees and 12 Speakers in a Day Focused on Transformation and Adaptation

OPENDIR's fourth edition, the Open Forum for Executives, is gearing up to become a key meeting point this Wednesday, 28th May, for business leaders, professionals, and executives from Alicante and neighbouring regions.

The event, which has sold out, will open its doors at 8 AM for registrations and commence at 9 AM with an institutional welcome by the President of the Valencian Government, Carlos Mazón - who was initially set to close the event - the Mayor of Alicante, Luis Barcala, and the President of El Círculo- Directivos de Alicante, Eva Toledo. The closing will be conducted by the President of the Alicante Provincial Council, Toni Pérez.

The programme, featuring twelve speakers including presidents, CEOs, and frontline professionals, aligns with the chosen theme 'Business Metamorphosis: Evolve to Revolutionise'.

Additionally, it showcases sectors as diverse as technology, finance, industry, footwear, natural stone and architecture, retail, tourism, energy, management, and consultancy, all with an essential geopolitical and leadership perspective.

It's always interesting to learn about the strategies they are applying to their respective companies, which in many cases we can extrapolate to ours," stated Eva Toledo, President of El Círculo- Directivos de Alicante, the organising entity of the event.

The dialogue "Revolutionise Your Business with AI" between Luis Javier Blas Agüeros, Media Director at CaixaBank, and Marta Martínez, 'Industrial Partner CVC' at Capital Partners and former General Director of IBM Emea, will open the sessions, focusing on the most disruptive technology of the moment, artificial intelligence.

Following this, Vicente Vallés, Director and Presenter of Noticias 2 on Antena 3 TV, will deliver the lecture "Geopolitics, a Key Factor in Business Management", a topic that also occupies the news agenda of all media and companies due to the new direction of international relations.

At 10:50 AM, the round table "Metamorphosis: From Change to Transformation" will begin, featuring Eva Martín-Caro, General Director of the children's footwear brand Pablosky; Kike Sarasola, Founder and President of the hotel chain Room Mate Hotels; Luis Monserrate, CEO of the design appliance firm Create; and Rocío Abella, Partner at Deloitte, specialising in marketing, innovation, and business strategy. The event's presenter, Helena de Fuentes, will act as moderator.

Alicante talent will take the stage at 11:30 AM with the presentation "The Power of Impossible" by Enrique Riquelme, Founder and Executive President of Cox, a multinational listed on the stock exchange focusing on the water and energy sectors.

After the coffee break, scheduled between 12 and 12:45 PM, consultant Xavier Marcet, President and Founder of Lead to Change, will deliver the talk "Humanistic Management: Strategy is People".

"Cosentino: A Story of Overcoming from Southeast Spain" is the title of the dialogue that will follow, featuring Pilar Martínez-Cosentino, CEO of Grupo Cosentino, and Sergio Pérez, General Director of Cajamar.

And as the programme's closing at 2 PM, the firsthand experience of businessman and survivor of the Andes plane crash tragedy of 1972, Gustavo Zerbino, will be shared, focusing on "Adversity as Opportunity".

After the institutional closing by the President of the Provincial Council, Toni Pérez, OPENDIR will continue with a networking lunch to foster meetings and business relationships among attendees.
