Modern, compact, with a distinctive style, the Opel Mokka is due for an update. It is an unconventional compact SUV that retains its character but adopts a more modern design with technologies and elements from higher segments.

With the 136 HP gasoline engine, prices start at 26,350 euros. The hybrid with 48-volt technology is available from 28,850 euros, while prices for the electric Mokka Electric start at 37,600 euros.

Opel has not completely revised the appearance of the Mokka, but has subtly emphasized its visual strengths. The new Opel Blitz in the center of the Opel Vizor brand helps further refine the Mokka's character.

According to the motto "black is beautiful," a black design line runs from the hood to the rear above the side windows. In the Mokka GS, black cladding on the front, rear, and wheel arches also conveys sporty elegance.

Special aerodynamic wheels (available for the Mokka Electric) and the redesigned front bumper improve aerodynamics. Additionally, the new Mokka completely dispenses with chrome applications on the exterior.

Inside, the fabrics are made from materials with recycled content. Visually, the "detoxification" approach takes center stage. The new steering wheel, flattened at the top and bottom, conveys a sporty character.

The central console between the front seats, in matte silver tone, is now even clearer than before. Designers have integrated some of the controls that were previously operated by buttons into the central color touchscreen. The design of the remaining switches for the electric parking brake and selectable driving modes (in the Mokka Electric and automatic variants) comes from the new Opel Grandland.

The new multimedia and navigation infotainment system has also been renewed, now offering as standard a 10-inch digital driver information display and an equally large color touchscreen.

Electrified and electric

The new Mokka will be available in "Edition" and "GS" trims and can be further customized with two individualization packages.

Regarding propulsion, you can choose between a gasoline engine and two electrified alternatives, with a 48-volt hybrid as a battery electric Mokka Electric with zero local emissions.

The fully electric variant can travel up to 403 kilometers (WLTP) locally without emissions. The space-saving battery location under the floor allows for a low center of gravity and ensures that the new Mokka Electric remains firmly on the road.

Customers who prefer an alternative propulsion can choose the new Mokka Hybrid with 48-volt technology. It combines a 1.2-liter turbocharged gasoline engine with 136 HP with a 21 kW (28 HP) electric motor and a new six-speed dual-clutch electrified transmission. The optimized system helps significantly reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions compared to a comparable conventional propulsion vehicle. And at low speeds, Mokka Hybrid drivers can even drive their SUV through urban traffic purely electrically and thus without local emissions.
