Opel Grandland Electric AWD: The All-Wheel Drive Electric SUV Now Priced at €57,650

Opel takes a further step in its electric offensive by opening orders for the new Opel Grandland Electric AWD, its first fully electric model with all-wheel drive.

This unmistakable SUV, "made in Germany," which already positioned itself as the brand's flagship, now enhances its performance and appeal with a well-equipped Ultimate version, marking a milestone in Opel's electrification strategy.

The Opel Grandland Electric AWD Ultimate boasts an impressive system power of 239 kW (325 hp) and a maximum torque of 509 Nm, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 6.1 seconds.

This power is achieved through the combination of a front-wheel drive electric motor of 157 kW (213 hp) and an additional 82 kW (112 hp) electric motor for the rear wheels. The model offers a range of up to 489 kilometers (WLTP), with future versions potentially reaching up to 501 kilometers. Its 73 kWh battery can be charged from 20% to 80% in less than 30 minutes at a public charger.

The new Grandland Electric AWD Ultimate arrives with exceptionally comprehensive standard equipment. It includes a panoramic glass sunroof, 20-inch alloy wheels with 'Diamond Cut' aerodynamic design, the Intelli-Vision 360° camera, and the Intelli-HUD head-up display. Additionally, it features the award-winning Intelli-Lux HD light with over 50,000 elements, enhancing safety when driving at night, and an infotainment system with a 16-inch touchscreen and solutions like wireless smartphone charging. The launch price in Spain is €57,650 (including VAT).

Gubitz highlighted the power combined with highly efficient driving pleasure and the additional safety offered by electric all-wheel drive, "even in challenging conditions," promising "new possibilities and an unparalleled driving experience."

According to the brand, driving pleasure is enhanced by a suspension with frequency-selective damping technology and four adaptable driving modes: Normal, 4WD, Sport, and Eco. These modes allow the driver to adjust the vehicle's behavior according to road conditions and driving style, optimizing both efficiency and dynamic performance as well as grip on slippery surfaces.

To facilitate the transition to electric mobility, Opel introduces the 'Electric All In' program. By purchasing the Grandland Electric AWD Ultimate, customers will receive included services such as the eProWallbox Move for fast home charging, e-routes functions, eight years of mobile charging and roadside assistance, in addition to the battery warranty.
