The Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) offers 49 options in its 26th edition of the Summer Courses, 20 of which have free or reduced fees, thanks to the collaboration of the town councils of Elche and Crevillent, the various UMH chairs, the Equality Unit, and the Vice-Rectorate for Planning and Social Responsibility of the UMH.

The UMH Summer Courses are structured as a forum for debate and learning, as well as a meeting point between the university community and society. Their themes and contents complement university disciplines, offering other perspectives that allow for the expansion of academic knowledge.

Varied Themes

The program also addresses the training needs of various institutions and organizations in the public sector, private sector, and civil society that make up the social fabric in which the UMH is integrated, with programs as diverse as artificial intelligence, video game development, human anatomy, equality, effective communication, therapy assisted by sea lions, artistic ceramics, cultural project management, pictorial portraiture, and artistic research, among others.

Additionally, 13 courses are funded by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Universities, and Employment of the Generalitat Valenciana in the Collaboration with Universities for the Training of Culture Professionals program.

In this edition, the program offers 49 courses in different modalities: 19 in-person at the campuses of Altea, Elche, Orihuela-Desamparados, and Sant Joan d'Alacant, at the Plaça de Baix in Elche, and in Crevillent. The semi-presential mode will be developed in Astorga (León), and the rest of the courses will be taught online through the virtual campus.

Simultaneously, in this edition, there are 20 courses with free or reduced fees, thanks to the collaboration of the town councils of Elche and Crevillent, the various UMH chairs, the Equality Unit, and the Vice-Rectorate for Planning and Social Responsibility of the UMH. Additionally, a deposit of 30 euros is maintained for enrollment in free courses. This amount will be automatically refunded to those who complete the course.
